Synake is a tool development company founded to address the specific challenges of surveying, monitoring, and protecting Aotearoa New Zealand's unique native fauna.
Synake’s Modular Lizard Refugia (MLRs) provide standardised artificial retreats for lizards/mokomoko. Creating field-configured optimal habitat that supports survival, growth, reproduction and abundance at any site.
Synake’s Ultralite traps are purpose-built for backcountry deployment to survey our lizards in the wilderness: no digging, no heavy carry, less bulk, readily scalable, and no compromises on survey integrity.
